Local Structures of Fe0.08Co0.92 Studied by X-ray Fluorescence Holography

چکیده
At room temperature, pure Co has a hexagonal close-packed (HCP) structure. When several percent of Fe is doped into crystal, it changes to the face-centered cubic (FCC) However, not clear why FCC structure in FexCo1−x system so stable even with small amounts concentration. Therefore, we carried out X-ray fluorescence holography (XFH) on Fe0.08Co0.92 single crystal visualize three-dimensional atomic images around both and atoms. The intensities reconstructed by XFH atoms at 100 300 K are inversely proportional distance from emitter, those were always higher than due suppression thermal vibrations image did increase cooling unlike Fe. In particular, dependence roughly constant up 0.8 nm. This suggests that lattice Co, i.e., matrix Fe0.08Co0.92, more distorted dopant

Local structures of methanol-water binary solutions studied by soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy.
Liquid methanol shows one- and two-dimensional (1D/2D) hydrogen bond (HB) networks, and liquid water shows three-dimensional (3D) HB networks. We have clearly found three different local structures around the methyl group of methanol-water binary solutions (CH3OH)X(H2O)1-X at different concentrations in C K-edge soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). With the help of molecular dynamics simul...
متن کاملDevelopment and Application of Laboratory X-ray Fluorescence Holography Equipment
The X-ray fluorescence holography (XFH) method has drawn the attention of many researchers as a novel experimental technique for imaging a three-dimensional local atomic structure around a certain element in a single crystal. Synchrotron radiation (SR) has been mainly used for the measurements because of extremely weak signals which are about 0.3 % of isotropic fluorescent radiation. The measur...
متن کاملQuantum Electrodynamics of Internal Source X-Ray Holographies: Bremsstrahlung, Fluorescence, and Multiple Energy X-Ray Holography
Quantum electrodynamics (qed) is used to derive the differential cross sections measured in the three new experimental internal source ensemble xray holographies: bremsstrahlung (BXH), fluorescence (XFH), and multipleenergy (MEXH) x-ray holography. The polarization dependence of the BXH cross section is also obtained. For BXH, we study analytically and numerically the possible effects of the vi...

متن کاملDirect 3D imaging of Al70.4Pd21Mn8.6 quasicrystal local atomic structure by X-ray holography
Inverse x-ray fluorescence holography was used to explore the local atomic order of a nearly perfect quasicrystal with composition Al70. 4Pd21Mn8.6. We have demonstrated the possibility of direct 3D imaging of the atomic decoration in a quasicrystal. We have obtained the average 3D environment of selected coordination shells around the Mn atoms. These results open the way to obtaining further a...
